Taiwan will help modernize two hospitals in Lviv

Taiwan will help modernize St. Panteleimon Hospital and St. Nicholas Children's Hospital in Lviv. The project involves upgrading emergency and intensive care departments, as well as implementing digital and AI solutions.

The Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) and Lviv signed a memorandum on August 25 to implement the Smart Healthcare Enhancement project.

In the two medical facilities, they plan to integrate new equipment, software, and information systems based on artificial intelligence. A separate part of the project will be professional training for medical and IT staff.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan, the project results are expected to be useful for about 720,000 residents of Lviv.

This is not the first joint medical project between Taiwan and Lviv. In June, a "Taiwan Friendship House" was opened at the UNBROKEN medical complex with the support of Taiwan. The island's authorities call medical assistance one of the priority areas of support for Ukraine.
