McDonald's expanded its network in Ukraine with a new restaurant in Uman

McDonald's opened its first restaurant in Uman, Cherkasy Oblast, on August 26. The new outlet became the 130th restaurant of the chain currently operating in Ukraine.

The restaurant is located at 6 Stepan Bandera Street, near the entrance to Uman and directly by the M-05 Kyiv - Odesa highway. Thus, the company targets not only city residents but also transit car traffic.

The new McDonald's was opened in partnership with the Grand Petrol fuel station complex. This is the eighth restaurant of the chain in Ukraine built in cooperation with a fuel station complex, and the second joint project between McDonald's and Grand Petrol.

The restaurant's area exceeds 470 square meters. A total of 230 seats for visitors are arranged in the dining area and on the terrace.

The dining area operates daily from 07:00 to 23:00, and the drive-thru from 05:00 to 23:00. Orders can be placed via self-service kiosks, the drive-thru, or using the "Mobile Order" feature in the McDonald's app.

The opening of the first restaurant of the chain in Uman created 60 new jobs.

McDonald's continues to expand its network in Ukraine

The company continues to open new outlets in Ukraine despite the full-scale war. In 2025, McDonald's opened 12 new restaurants and renovated five more. That year the chain entered, among others, Uzhhorod and Mukachevo for the first time.

The first McDonald's in Ukraine opened on May 24, 1997, in Kyiv near the Lukianivska metro station. The company is one of the largest foreign investors in Ukraine's restaurant sector.

Like other McDonald's restaurants in Ukraine, the outlet in Uman will suspend operations during air raid alerts and resume service after they end.
