On August 26, Russian forces attacked gas distribution infrastructure facilities in Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions. In one of the regions, a "Gazmerezhi" facility was damaged, and during another attack, an emergency crew worker received shrapnel wounds.

This was reported by Liudmyla Kinder, HR Director of the "Naftogaz" group.

In Chernihiv region, one of the facilities of the company "Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine" was damaged as a result of the Russian shelling. Information about the scale of destruction and possible disruptions in gas supply is currently not disclosed.

In Kharkiv region, an emergency crew of "Gazmerezhi" came under Russian attack. The workers were on their way to a call to localize an accident on the gas infrastructure.

One of the fitters received shrapnel wounds. He was hospitalized and is currently under medical supervision.

"Gazmerezhi" stressed that this is not the first case when Russian troops attack not only gas distribution infrastructure, but also specialists who repair and restore it after shelling.

Despite the constant threat, emergency crews continue to localize damage, repair networks, and maintain gas distribution where the security situation allows.
