Kramatorsk added to the zone of active hostilities: payments for damaged housing suspended

In the Kramatorsk community, payments under the eRecovery program for property damaged as a result of Russian attacks are being suspended. The reason is that from August 21, the community has been added to the list of territories of active hostilities.

This was reported by the Kramatorsk City Council.

The city council explained that according to the current procedure for providing compensation for damaged property, payments in communities that are in the zone of active hostilities are suspended.

At the same time, this restriction applies specifically to compensation for damaged property.

Compensation for destroyed housing remains

The eRecovery program for owners of completely destroyed property in the Kramatorsk community continues to operate without changes.

Thus, residents whose housing was destroyed as a result of hostilities can continue to use the compensation mechanisms provided by the state.

The state eRecovery portal states that the program generally covers both damaged and destroyed housing, and for areas of active and possible hostilities, mechanisms for remote inspection of objects are provided, among others.

What will happen to previously submitted applications

Applications for compensation for damaged property that residents of the Kramatorsk community submitted by August 21, 2026, will not be cancelled.

The city council reported that the eRecovery commission will continue to process them according to the established queue.

Therefore, the change in the community's status primarily affects further payments for damaged property after the territory is included in the list of active hostilities.
