Russia struck with ballistic missiles at a railway depot in Kyiv: there are dead

On the night of September 1, Russian forces launched ballistic strikes on Kyiv, including a railway depot and other railway infrastructure facilities. One of the workshops on the depot's territory was completely destroyed, along with other significant damage and fires.

This was reported by Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, Chairman of the Board of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia". According to him, the strikes were precisely aimed at the railway depot and other railway facilities. Railway workers and rescuers have been working at the site since the night to deal with the aftermath of the attack.

Due to infrastructure damage, train traffic had to be temporarily closed on two sections. "Ukrzaliznytsia" stated that its employees are working to restore the damaged facilities and deal with the consequences of the strike.

Many railway workers managed to move to shelters during the attack. However, the strike claimed the lives of seven people, six of whom were employees of "Ukrzaliznytsia". Another company employee is in hospital with injuries.

According to the State Emergency Service, in total, eight people were killed and five injured, including three children, in the night Russian attack on Kyiv. In the Darnytskyi district, seven people died as a result of hits and fires, one person is in serious condition in hospital. At another location, two more people, including a child, were injured by the blast wave.

In the Holosiivskyi district, the hit occurred in a non-residential building, causing a fire over an area of 40 square meters. One person died. In the Solomianskyi district, a drone hit a residential building and caused partial destruction. Rescuers saved a man and freed a woman from under the rubble.
