Fire broke out at Russian port of Ust-Luga after drone attack

On the night of September 1, drones attacked the port area of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region of Russia. After the strikes, a fire broke out on the port's territory, and Russian authorities officially confirmed damage.

The governor of the Leningrad region, Alexander Drozdenko, reported that as a result of the drone attack, damage and ignition were recorded in the port area of Ust-Luga. Emergency services were dispatched to the site, and Russian authorities were still clarifying the extent of the consequences at the time of the report.

Videos published overnight by local and monitoring Telegram channels recorded numerous explosions in the port area, after which a significant fire was seen over the industrial zone. In the morning, Exilenova+ released new footage showing the fire in the Ust-Luga area still ongoing.

It was not officially specified which port infrastructure facilities were damaged. Therefore, reports about damage to specific terminals or enterprises currently require confirmation.

Ust-Luga is one of the largest Russian ports on the Baltic Sea and an important hub for the export of Russian raw materials and cargo, including petroleum products. The port and industrial infrastructure of this area has repeatedly been the target of drone attacks.

That same night, monitoring channels reported a series of explosions in Tolyatti in the Samara region and published footage of a fire after the attack. At the time of the first reports, there was no reliable information about the specific object hit and the scale of the damage.
