Russia has increased production of jet drones: Zelensky's adviser "Flash" named the scale
Russia may have already reached production capacity of about 3,000 jet drones per month and plans to maintain such rates going forward. At the same time, the Russian Federation is preparing serial production of other high-speed strike vehicles capable of complicating the work of Ukrainian air defense.
This was stated by Serhiy Beskrestnov, known as "Flash", a freelance adviser to the President of Ukraine on the development of technological directions of defense.
According to him, the scale of Russian use of jet drones has already sharply increased. If in the previous month the Ukrainian side counted about 1,500 uses of such devices, then this month it is already about 3,000.
Beskrestnov noted that, according to Ukrainian intelligence, Russian plans provide for the production of approximately 36-40 thousand such UAVs per year, i.e., more than 3 thousand per month.
"It can be said that they have already reached this capacity", he stated.
Jet drones could become the basis of long-range attacks
According to the adviser's assessment, Russia will not abandon conventional drones with gasoline engines, in particular the Shahed-136/Geran-2. However, about 60% of the production of strike drones may be accounted for by jet modifications, while traditional vehicles will make up the rest.
For strikes on regions distant from the frontline, the Russian army will likely increasingly use high-speed jet UAVs. Beskrestnov cites as the reason the spread in Ukraine of interceptor drones, which are already actively used against slower strike drones.
Earlier, the Air Force reported a sharp increase in the share of jet vehicles during Russian attacks. Thus, new production estimates indicate that this is not just a temporary change in tactics, but a large-scale buildup of relevant capabilities.
Up to a thousand "Banderols" per month
At the same time, Russia is working on other high-speed strike systems. Among them, Beskrestnov named the "Banderol", which he characterizes as a relatively cheap jet cruise missile.
According to him, the projected Russian production potential could reach up to 1,000 "Banderols" per month.
In addition, the Russian Federation plans to produce other jet strike vehicles, among which Beskrestnov named "Dan-T", "Dan-M" and "Geran-5".
Such vehicles can reach speeds of about 500-650 km/h, fly at very low altitude and actively maneuver. The combination of these characteristics complicates their timely detection and interception by air defense assets.
At the same time, according to Beskrestnov, such jet missiles have one important difference from jet versions of "Shaheds": they do not have an online control channel that allows the Russian operator to receive information during flight and observe objects along the route.
Beskrestnov believes that Russia understands the inevitability of the appearance in Ukraine of a larger number of jet interceptors and is already trying to get ahead of this development by increasing the speed and maneuverability of its strike means.
