Large gas station chains started autumn with a review of gasoline prices

The Ukrainian retail fuel market fuel entered September with a new increase in gasoline prices. As of September 1, the average cost of A-95 and A-95+ rose compared to the last day of summer, while diesel fuel and autogas became slightly cheaper. In large chains, the movement also remains uneven: WOG raised gasoline immediately by 1 UAH/L, KLO - by 70 kopecks/L, while some operators did not change prices or continued to lower them.

This is evidenced by monitoring data from the Consulting Group "A-95".

How much does fuel cost on September 1

The average price of A-95 gasoline at the beginning of autumn is 80.32 UAH/L. It rose by 12 kopecks per day. Premium A-95+ added 18 kopecks and costs on average 84.03 UAH/L.

A-92, on the contrary, fell by 3 kopecks - to 76.87 UAH/L. The average price of diesel fuel also decreased by 3 kopecks, to 91.41 UAH/L, and autogas - by 1 kopeck, to 43.06 UAH/L.

Gasoline began to rise at the end of August

Comparison with the end of last working week shows a clearer trend. Since August 28, the average price of both A-95 and A-95+ increased by 41 kopecks per liter.

Moreover, a significant part of the movement occurred on August 31: over the weekend and the last day of summer, the average price of A-95 rose from 79.91 to 80.20 UAH/L, and A-95+ - from 83.62 to 83.85 UAH/L. At the beginning of September, the growth continued.

Diesel is moving in the opposite direction. Compared to August 28, its average cost has already fallen by 25 kopecks per liter. The price of autogas has actually not changed over this period - the difference is only 3 kopecks.

WOG raised gasoline by 1 hryvnia

The most noticeable change on September 1 among the largest nationwide chains occurred at WOG. The chain raised regular A-95 from 82.90 to 83.90 UAH/L, and premium A-95+ - from 85.90 to 86.90 UAH/L. Diesel remained at 93.90 UAH/L, autogas - 44.50 UAH/L.

Thus, WOG has effectively caught up with OKKO, which raised gasoline prices earlier - back at the end of August. As of September 1, at OKKO A-95 costs 83.90 UAH/L, A-95+ - 86.90 UAH/L, diesel - 93.90 UAH/L, autogas - 44.90 UAH/L.

Compared to August 28, gasolines at OKKO rose by 1 UAH/L: then the chain sold A-95 for 82.90 UAH/L, and A-95+ for 85.90 UAH/L. Diesel and gas have not changed during this time.

KLO also raised prices

KLO increased prices for several types of gasoline on September 1. A-95 rose by 70 kopecks - to 80.60 UAH/L, A-95+ - also by 70 kopecks, to 85.40 UAH/L. A-92 rose to 79.60 UAH/L.

If compared with August 28, regular A-95 at KLO became more expensive by 70 kopecks, and premium - already by 1.10 UAH/L. Autogas rose during this period from 43.50 to 43.90 UAH/L, diesel remained at 93.90 UAH/L.

Another chain that raised A-95 by 1 UAH on September 1 is "Avantage 7" - to 77.95 UAH/L. At Neftek, A-95 rose to 82.99 UAH/L, A-95+ - to 85.99 UAH/L, and autogas - by 50 kopecks, to 44.49 UAH/L.

Some large operators did not change price tags

UKRNAFTA started September unchanged: A-95 costs 78.90 UAH/L, A-95+ - 81.90 UAH/L, diesel - 89.90 UAH/L, autogas - 42.90 UAH/L. The chain has maintained these main price tags since the end of last working week.

Also unchanged over the last day were prices at UPG: 78.90 UAH/L for A-95, 80.90 UAH/L for A-95+, 89.90 UAH/L for diesel and 42.90 UAH/L for gas.

SOCAR also did not review prices on September 1. The average cost of A-95 in the network is 83.90 UAH/L, A-95+ - 86.90 UAH/L, diesel - 94.90 UAH/L.

Diesel in some chains continues to get cheaper

Operators that lower prices remain on the opposite side of the market. At "BRSM-Nafta", the average cost of diesel fuel decreased by approximately 23 kopecks per day - to 88.08 UAH/L. A-95 became cheaper by approximately 5 kopecks, to 77.81 UAH/L.

Compared to August 28, diesel in this network became cheaper by approximately 82 kopecks: at the end of last working week it cost on average 88.90 UAH/L. Autogas has remained virtually unchanged during this time - about 41.46 UAH/L.

At AMIC, daily changes remained minimal: A-95 became cheaper by approximately 2 kopecks, to 78.93 UAH/L, diesel - also approximately 2 kopecks, to 89.93 UAH/L. Gas decreased more noticeably - by about 19 kopecks, to 42.46 UAH/L.

Among local operators, sharper reductions were recorded at VostokGaz: A-95 and diesel became cheaper on average by 2 UAH/L, autogas - by 1 UAH/L. "DNIPRONAFTA" reduced A-95 and diesel by approximately 1 UAH/L.

What trend did the market end summer with

August ended without a single synchronous wave of fuel price increases, but in the last days of the month a local upward movement began to form specifically in the gasoline segment.

Back as of August 28, the largest networks mostly held their price tags. During the working week from August 24 to 28, average A-95 even became cheaper by 14 kopecks, diesel - by 24 kopecks, while premium A-95+ added 53 kopecks. Main changes then remained spot: UKRNAFTA raised premium gasoline, OKKO - autogas, and "BRSM-Nafta" lowered gasoline and diesel.

However, at the very finish of summer the situation began to change. First, OKKO raised gasoline by 1 UAH/L, and from September 1 WOG made a similar move. Simultaneously, KLO and a number of smaller operators increased prices.

At the same time, it is not yet possible to speak about a general increase in the price of all fuel: diesel at the beginning of autumn remains cheaper than at the end of last working week, and autogas is virtually standing still. The current movement is most clearly concentrated in the gasoline segment.
