Ministry of Finance attracted over UAH 6 billion through domestic government bond placement
The Ministry of Finance on September 1 attracted UAH 6.07 billion to the state budget at a regular auction for placement of domestic government bonds. The majority of funds came from the sale of longer hryvnia securities.
One-year domestic government bonds with a circulation period of 378 days and a rate of 15.18% per annum provided the budget with UAH 1.07 billion.
The Ministry of Finance attracted another UAH 5 billion through bonds with a circulation period of 910 days - about 2.5 years. The yield on these securities was 12.44% per annum. Thus, they accounted for over 80% of the total amount of funds raised at the auction.
Since the beginning of 2026, the state has already attracted over UAH 334.38 billion through domestic government bond placement. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the total amount of funds raised in this way has approached UAH 2.36 trillion.
The Ministry of Finance notes that funds from the placement of war bonds are used to finance the needs of the Armed Forces and maintain the financial stability of the state.
Auctions for placement of domestic government bonds are held by the Ministry of Finance every Tuesday. The nominal value of one bond is UAH 1,000, USD 1,000 or EUR 1,000 depending on the currency of issue.
