Galushchenko may cooperate with the investigation and reveal patrons of schemes – UP
Former Minister of Energy and Justice Herman Galushchenko has begun to demonstrate readiness to cooperate with anti-corruption agencies. Potentially, such cooperation could provide the investigation with new information about corruption schemes around "Energoatom" and other episodes involving representatives of the Ukrainian authorities.
This was reported by "Ukrainska Pravda" in a material about the situation within the Ukrainian authorities. The publication notes that information about Galushchenko's readiness to cooperate came from media. At the same time, there is currently no talk of an already concluded agreement with the investigation or of testimony provided by him.
According to UP's assessment, in case of real cooperation, Galushchenko could potentially provide information about for whom funds were collected in schemes around "Energoatom", who was involved in the construction of estates in the "Dynastia" cooperative near Kyiv, and whom participants of the conversations recorded by NABU called "Vova".
Galushchenko is one of the suspects in the "Midas" case about large-scale corruption in the energy sector. In February 2026, he was notified of suspicion and taken into custody. NABU stated that the former minister was one of the key elements of the scheme to legalize illegally obtained funds.
In June, a bail of UAH 150 million was posted for Galushchenko. In August, NABU and SAPO reported exposing a separate scheme whose participants, according to the investigation, legalized exactly UAH 150 million through accounts of shell companies to post bail for one of the suspects in the "Midas" case.
Anti-corruption agencies stated that the state-owned "Sense Bank" was used for the operation, and the group included, in particular, an official of the Office of the President, current and former people's deputies, and representatives of bank management. UP and "Ekonomichna Pravda" linked this episode with the bail for Galushchenko.
A separate part of the "Midas" case became recordings of conversations in the apartment of businessman Timur Mindich. One of the recordings discussed the construction of four estates in the "Dynastia" cooperative in Kozyn near Kyiv.
According to UP sources, houses could be built for Mindich himself, former Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov, as well as two people who were called "Andriy" and "Vova" in conversations. That is why the publication considers Galushchenko's potential testimony as a possible source of new information about the ultimate beneficiaries and patrons of the case suspects.
At the same time, there is no claim in UP's material that Galushchenko has already provided such information to anti-corruption agencies. It only talks about his readiness for possible cooperation and what circumstances it could potentially clarify.
