Prices at Ukrainian gas stations rise for third consecutive day: price increases accelerate

Prices at Ukrainian gas stations continue to move upwards for the third consecutive day, and on September 3, the increase in key types of fuel accelerated. The average cost of A-95 rose by 0.84 UAH/l per day, premium A-95+ by 0.74 UAH/l, and diesel fuel by 0.61 UAH/l. Large chains again massively changed price tags: OKKO, WOG, and UPG each added 1 UAH/l to gasoline and diesel.

This is evidenced by daily monitoring data from the "A-95" Consulting Group as of September 3.

Average fuel prices in Ukraine

Over the past day, all five types of fuel tracked by the monitoring became more expensive. The largest increase was recorded for A-95 gasoline - its average price rose from 80.70 to 81.54 UAH/l.

Increase in gasoline and diesel prices accelerates

The current wave of growth began to form at the end of August. On September 1, upward movement was most noticeable in the gasoline segment, and already on September 2, the increase covered all major types of fuel.

On September 3, the trend intensified specifically for the most demanded gasoline and diesel. The day before, average A-95 added 0.48 UAH/l, A-95+ - 0.49 UAH/l, and diesel - 0.36 UAH/l. Now the increase is 0.84, 0.74, and 0.61 UAH/l respectively.

Meanwhile, for A-92 and autogas, the rate of increase decreased. A-92 added 0.19 UAH/l compared to 0.71 UAH the day before, and gas - 0.11 UAH/l compared to 0.20 UAH/l.

Large chains raise prices again

OKKO, which on September 2 still kept prices unchanged, now simultaneously raised A-95, A-95+, and diesel by 1 UAH/l - to 84.90, 87.90, and 94.90 UAH/l respectively. Autogas remained at 44.90 UAH/l.

WOG, after yesterday's increase, continued the movement by the same amount: gasoline and diesel again added 1 UAH/l each. As a result, A-95 costs an average of 85.90 UAH/l, A-95+ - 88.90 UAH/l, and diesel - 95.90 UAH/l.

UPG also raised main types of fuel by 1 UAH/l for the second day in a row. In addition, autogas became more expensive by another 0.40 UAH, to 43.90 UAH/l.

SOCAR raised both gasolines by 1 UAH/l - to 84.90 UAH/l for A-95 and 87.90 UAH/l for A-95+. Diesel, after yesterday's jump by a hryvnia, remained at 95.90 UAH/l.

At AMIC, A-95 and A-95+ gasolines also added 1 UAH/l each. Diesel changed only by about 5 kopecks, and autogas remained unchanged.

Among the largest networks, KLO stands out: diesel here rose immediately by 1.20 UAH/l, to 95.10 UAH/l. A-95 added 0.70 UAH, premium gasoline - 0.90 UAH.

At "BRSM-Nafta", average price of A-95 rose by about 1.18 UAH/l, to 79.60 UAH/l. Diesel became more expensive by almost 0.89 UAH, and autogas - by about 0.30 UAH. UKRNAFTA, which raised gasoline prices the day before, left all main price tags unchanged on September 3.

Some operators jump by 3 UAH

Even sharper movements were recorded among smaller networks. Neftek immediately raised A-92, A-95, A-95+ and diesel by 3 UAH/l. As a result, A-95 in the network costs 83.99 UAH/l, A-95+ - 86.99 UAH/l, diesel - 94.99 UAH/l. Autogas added 1 UAH, to 44.49 UAH/l.

This is especially noticeable against the previous day when Neftek, on the contrary, reduced prices for most types of fuel. Thus, the network not only regained yesterday's decrease but for a number of positions went above previous levels.

"DNIPRONAFTA" raised A-95 immediately by 3 UAH - to 80.99 UAH/l. Gasoline prices also rose by 1 UAH at Parallel, "Avantage 7", VST, RLS, ZOG, "Katral", Green Wave and a number of other operators.

Thus, on the third day of autumn, the local price revision, initially concentrated mainly in the gasoline segment, grew into a much broader wave of price increases. On September 3, the most noticeable acceleration was for A-95, premium gasoline, and diesel, and the increase covered most of the largest gas station chains.
