On Tuesday, September 8, trading of non-cash dollars on the interbank currency market is taking place in the range of 44.40–44.47 UAH. As yesterday, buyers are waiting for the start of a massive NBU intervention and for quotations under sales pressure to drop even lower, so they are in no hurry to buy at current prices.

The euro on the interbank currency market of Ukraine on Tuesday is trading in the range of 51.58–51.67 UAH on the “bid” side – which is 11–13 kopecks lower than last Friday. On the international FOREX currency market, the euro today is fluctuating between 1.1608 and 1.1636 dollars, i.e. at the same levels as yesterday.

Prices for cash dollars have been declining for the third consecutive day. If on Monday wholesale exchange offices in Kyiv sold the dollar at 44.70–44.73 UAH, then today at noon they are selling at 44.660–44.68 UAH. In Vinnytsia the dollar is sold at 44.67 UAH, in Odesa and Mykolaiv – at 44.70 UAH, in Kharkiv – at 44.72 UAH, in Poltava – at 44.75 UAH. Ukrainian banks as of 12:30 are selling the dollar at prices from 44.59 UAH at CreditWest Bank to 44.95 UAH at Zaporizhia-based Metbank. As for the euro, at the moment the cheapest rate for purchase is 51.82 UAH in some branches of Bank Lviv in western Ukraine.

Oil prices continue to rise, again approaching the $100 mark. The price of the most popular Brent brand rose to $99.43 per barrel. Brent is currently trading in the range of $98.44–98.78 per barrel.

High volatility is observed on crypto exchanges: prices for major cryptocurrencies are fluctuating without any apparent pattern. Thus, Bitcoin (BTC) on the popular Binance exchange dropped to $78,180 per coin this morning, and Ethereum (ETH) dropped to $2,463 per coin. At the moment, Bitcoin is being sold at $78,730–78,750 per coin, and Ethereum – at $2,480–2,495 per coin.
