Russia again attacked the warehouse of one of Ukraine's largest pharmaceutical distributors

On the night of September 8, Russian military with two ballistic missiles attacked the warehouse of one of the largest pharmaceutical product distributors "Optima-Pharm" in Kyiv, which they had already destroyed in 2025. This was reported to the publication by a contact in the pharmaceutical market, according to Економічна правда.

The warehouse is located on the left bank of the capital. At the time of the Russian strike it was empty. Preliminary, there were no casualties.

This warehouse already came under attack in the fall of 2025. Due to the Russian attack on Kyiv on October 25 last year, the warehouse complex and office of "Optima-Pharm" were destroyed.

Total losses from the destroyed warehouse and products in the company were estimated at over 100 million dollars.

In October 2025, representatives of the company "Optima-Pharm" informed EP that the volume of destroyed products amounts to about 20% of the monthly supply of medicines in all of Ukraine.

Recall that as a result of the Russian attack on the capital on the night of September 8, fires broke out in warehouse premises and on the territory of a private school.

Due to the Russian shelling of Kyiv on the night and morning of September 8, as a result of which 2 people died and 10 were injured, destruction was recorded in seven districts of Kyiv, including damage to residential buildings, warehouses, an educational institution, a hospital and the entrance to the metro station "Tarasa Shevchenka".
