Fuel prices in Ukraine slowed growth after a weekend jump - gas station monitoring
Retail fuel prices in Ukraine continued to rise on September 8, but after a sharp spike over the weekend, the pace of increase generally slowed. Gasoline A-92 and A-95+ slowed the most noticeably, while diesel, on the contrary, added an average of 31 kopecks per liter over the day.
This is evidenced by the daily monitoring data of Consulting Group "A-95".
Over the weekend, from September 4 to 7, the biggest jump was in premium gasoline A-95+ and A-92. The first rose in price by an average of 82 kopecks per liter at once, the second - by 78 kopecks per liter. A-95 added 22 kopecks per liter during this period, diesel - 23 kopecks per liter, and autogas - only 3 kopecks per liter.
On September 8, the movement became much more restrained. A-92 added only 3 kopecks per liter, A-95 - 18 kopecks per liter, A-95+ - 23 kopecks per liter, and autogas - 1 kopecks per liter. The exception was diesel fuel: its average price increased by 31 kopecks per liter over the day.
Thus, the main price impulse of the weekend in the gasoline segment began to weaken, although increases in prices by individual large chains continue to pull average prices up.
The average price of A-95 gasoline as of September 8 was 82.39 UAH/L compared to 82.22 UAH/L the day before. Premium A-95+ rose in price from 85.99 to 86.22 UAH/L.
The average cost of diesel fuel changed the most over the last day - it rose to 92.83 UAH/L. Autogas went up by only 1 kopecks, to 43.42 UAH/L, and A-92 - by 3 kopecks, to 78.67 UAH/L.

WOG and SOCAR raised prices by a whole hryvnia at once
Among the largest operators, the most noticeable increase was recorded at WOG and SOCAR. Both chains increased the average price of A-95, A-95+ and diesel fuel by 1 UAH/L.
At WOG, A-95 rose to 86.90 UAH/L, A-95+ - to 89.90 UAH/L, and diesel - to 96.90 UAH/L. The price of autogas remained at 45.50 UAH/L.
At SOCAR, after a similar increase, A-95 costs an average of 86.90 UAH/L, A-95+ - 89.90 UAH/L, and diesel fuel - 97.90 UAH/L. This is the highest average price of diesel among the eight largest operators in the sample.
AMIC significantly raised diesel specifically - on average about 92 kopecks per liter, to 92.01 UAH/L. The price of A-95 gasoline in the chain did not practically change and is about 80.93 UAH/L.
OKKO, UKRNAFTA, UPG and KLO did not change average prices for main fuel types over the day. At "BRSM-Nafta" the average cost of A-95 and diesel, on the contrary, decreased by about 5 kopecks per liter - to 79.72 and 89.54 UAH/L, respectively.
Among the top 8, the cheapest A-95 is offered by "BRSM-Nafta" - on average 79.72 UAH/L. The lowest average diesel price is also in this chain - 89.54 UAH/L. Autogas at "BRSM-Nafta" costs on average 41.87 UAH/L.
In some chains prices changed even more
Outside the eight largest operators, price movements were much sharper. "Autotrans" raised the average cost of A-95 and A-95+ by 2 UAH/L at once - to 81.90 and 87.90 UAH/L, respectively.
Green Wave chain raised A-95, diesel and autogas by 1 UAH/L. At "Market" A-95 and diesel went up by one hryvnia, and at VST - diesel fuel.
Meanwhile, VostokGaz reduced prices for A-95 and diesel by 2 UAH/L at once - to 79.49 and 91.99 UAH/L, respectively. In the "DNIPRONAFTA" chain, A-95 decreased by an average of 1.33 UAH/L, and diesel - by 1 UAH/L.
Thus, after a sharp revision of prices over the weekend, the increase at gas stations generally began to slow. This is especially noticeable in A-92 and A-95+, which added 78-82 kopecks per liter over the weekend, but on September 8 - only 3 and 23 kopecks per liter, respectively. At the same time, diesel so far stands out from the general trend: its daily price increase accelerated, and WOG, SOCAR and AMIC continued to raise prices.
