A former head of one of the district territorial recruitment and social support centers in Lviv region has been notified of suspicion of declaring unreliable information. According to the investigation, the total amount of unreliable data in his declaration for 2024 exceeded 4.5 million UAH.

The Office of the Prosecutor General and the National Agency on Corruption Prevention reported this.

The suspicion was announced to the 45-year-old former official under Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The basis for this was the materials of a full verification of the declaration conducted by the NACP.

According to law enforcement, the ex-official did not declare his wife's property rights to an apartment in a new building in Lviv with an area of 40.8 square meters. The value of this property is estimated at almost 2 million UAH.

Savings exceeded confirmed incomes

The verification also revealed significant discrepancies between the declared cash savings of the couple and the amounts they could have accumulated from confirmed sources of income.

The ex-head of the recruitment center declared over 2.5 million UAH of his own cash. According to the investigation's calculations, his confirmed incomes allowed him to accumulate no more than 684 thousand UAH. The difference exceeded 1.8 million UAH.

The declaration also indicated 40 thousand US dollars and 376 thousand UAH of his wife's cash. The NACP established that her confirmed incomes did not correspond to the declared amount of foreign currency savings.

As a result, the verification established unreliable information totaling more than 4.5 million UAH.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the territorial department of the State Bureau of Investigation in Lviv under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office of the Western Region. A motion to impose a preventive measure on the suspect is pending before the court.

The sanction of Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine provides, among other things, a fine, community service, restriction of liberty, or imprisonment for up to two years with possible deprivation of the right to hold certain positions.

According to the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent until his guilt is proven by a court's guilty verdict.
