The Kremlin expects the resumption of trilateral talks with the US and Ukraine in the near future

The Kremlin said it expects the trilateral talks between Russia, the US and Ukraine to resume "in the foreseeable future". However, there is currently no agreed program or roadmap for the negotiation process, and Moscow continues contacts with the American side.

This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

According to him, the parties have a "common initiative" and political will to return to the trilateral format, but the specific parameters of future negotiations have not yet been formed.

"We hope that these negotiations will be resumed in the foreseeable future," Peskov said.

He added that Russia continues contacts with American representatives. At the same time, the Kremlin refused to publicly discuss possible points of future agreements, since there is no formalized program or roadmap yet.

US allows for the emergence of a roadmap in the coming weeks

The Kremlin's statement came after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said it is possible to develop a roadmap for returning Russia and Ukraine to negotiations within the next few weeks.

Washington has recently intensified diplomatic contacts with both sides. American representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner visited first Moscow and then Kyiv last week, where they held talks with Russian and Ukrainian leadership.

President Volodymyr Zelensky also said that the US is working on possible de-escalation measures between Ukraine and Russia for the winter period. According to him, such agreements could create conditions for resuming a broader negotiation process.

Thus, the parties are currently publicly talking about the possibility of returning to the trilateral format, but no specific dates, venue or agreed plan for the talks have been announced yet.
