After Russian attack on a market in Khmelnytskyi, repeated detonation occurred: rescuers injured
In Khmelnytskyi, as a result of a Russian attack, a fire broke out on the territory of one of the markets. During the liquidation of the consequences, a repeated detonation occurred, injuring four rescuers.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service and the head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration Serhiy Tiurin.
According to the Regional Military Administration, air defense forces shot down an aerial target over the regional center. Its debris fell on the territory of one of the markets and caused a fire.
When units of the State Emergency Service were deploying forces and resources at the scene, a repeated detonation occurred. As a result of the explosion, four rescuers were injured. They were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity.
The fire on the market territory was extinguished. 45 rescuers and eight units of fire-rescue equipment were involved in the work.
The State Emergency Service clarified that the fire was caused by an attack by a Russian UAV. No information about other casualties or the extent of damage to the trade infrastructure has been reported yet.
