The Manufaktura shopping and entertainment center in Sumy suffered significant damage as a result of a Russian UAV attack and suspended operations indefinitely. This was reported by the mall administration.

Manufaktura stated that work is currently underway to eliminate the consequences of the strike and restore the complex.

"Due to the damage, the shopping center's operations have been temporarily suspended for an indefinite period", the statement said.

The administration promises to announce the resumption date separately.

Russian troops attacked the territory of the Manufaktura shopping center in Sumy with a strike drone on September 9. Sumy Regional Military Administration head Oleh Hryhorov reported that the hit damaged the mall building and cars in the parking lot, and a fire broke out.

According to the latest data from regional authorities, two 21-year-old people—a man and a woman—were killed as a result of the attack. Another 20 people were injured, including three girls aged 15-16. Several wounded were in serious condition.

Initially, authorities reported three dead, but later clarified that information about the third victim was not confirmed.
