Lowered tariffs for private companies were found in Sense Bank, and the responsible employee was dismissed
In the state-owned Sense Bank, during the work of the first supervisory board after nationalization, an understatement of prices in contracts with private companies was discovered, due to which the bank was losing revenue. After an internal investigation, the employee involved in pricing was dismissed.
Former chairman of the supervisory board of Sense Bank, Shevki Adzhuner, said this on September 10 during a meeting of the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada, chaired by People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
The topic arose during a discussion of the bank's work with private companies and payment operations, in particular in the gambling business segment. According to Adzhuner, the supervisory board at one time asked to analyze the pricing mechanism in such contracts.
"When we asked to analyze how pricing is done, we found that the decision-making process for pricing in contracts with private companies was insufficiently protected from abuse", - Adzhuner stated.
According to him, the verification also gave reason to believe that prices in certain cases were lowered.
"This did not allow the bank to earn", - said the former head of the supervisory board.
After that, an internal investigation was carried out in the bank. The employee who was involved in setting prices for the relevant products was dismissed.
Adzhuner explained that the supervisory board considered this employee's discretionary powers as not being used in the best interests of the bank.
After reviewing pricing, Sense Bank raised prices. According to Adzhuner, after that the bank began to receive complaints due to the loss of some clients.
At the same time, Adzhuner himself believes that the outflow of business was related not only to price increases. According to him, competitors also tried to lure away Sense Bank employees and clients in this segment.
The testimony was given during a meeting of the TSC, which is investigating the circumstances of management of the state-owned Sense Bank, personnel decisions and operations carried out after its nationalization.
