Four night buses launched in Kyiv from the railway station

From September 10, four temporary bus routes from the Central Railway Station began operating in Kyiv, running even during curfew hours. They were introduced, among other reasons, for passengers of trains that arrive in the capital late due to shelling and air alerts.

The buses run from 01:00 to 05:00. The approximate interval is 60 minutes, and boarding and alighting at stops is on demand. From residential areas towards the Central Station, buses will start earlier - according to separate schedules and designated boarding points.

Where the night buses will run

The capital has introduced four routes connecting the Central Station with different parts of the city:

  • No. 131-N - Central Station - Darnytsia metro station - Central Station;
  • No. 132-N - Central Station - Minska metro station - Central Station;
  • No. 133-N - Central Station - Toulouse Street - Central Station;
  • No. 134-N - Central Station - Pavlo Tychyna Avenue - Central Station.

The routes cover both the right and left banks of the capital. In particular, the buses go to Obolon, Darnytsia, residential areas in the southwest of Kyiv, and in the Dnipro district.

The launch of night buses is part of a change in the transport regime in Kyiv after the reduction of the curfew. From September 10, it lasts from 01:00 to 05:00 - one hour less than before. Accordingly, the operation of the main public transport routes was extended by an hour.

Metro rules during alarms have also changed

At the same time, different transport operating modes were introduced in Kyiv depending on the level of air threat. Under the yellow level, the Syretsko-Pecherska, or "green", metro line operates without restrictions, and trains carry passengers between banks via the Pivdennyi (South) Bridge.

Under the red level, the above-ground part of the "green" line is split: trains run separately on the sections "Syrets" - "Vydubychi" and "Slavutych" - "Chervonyi Khutir". Ground public transport continues to operate during this time.

Automobile traffic across the Pivdennyi (South) Bridge during air alerts is also allowed, but technological closures are planned for 30 minutes after the alarm is announced and 30 minutes after it is lifted.

In addition, from September 10, entertainment and sports mass events in open areas are temporarily prohibited in Kyiv, as well as events in buildings without shelters capable of accommodating all participants. Under the yellow threat level, the city continues to provide basic services, including administrative service centers (TsNAPs) and social institutions.
