One of Ukraine's largest sanitary ware manufacturers halted production after RF attack

The Cersanit Invest plant in Zviahel, Zhytomyr Oblast, cannot continue production after a Russian attack by jet drones. According to the company's preliminary estimate, at least six months will be needed to restore production capacity.

This is stated in the official announcement of LLC "Cersanit Invest".

The enterprise was attacked on the night of September 11–12. According to the company, the damage to the plant was caused by jet drones.

All employees who were on the enterprise grounds at the time of the strike were evacuated. There are no fatalities among the staff.

However, the attack led to serious destruction at the enterprise. In particular, key elements of the ceramic tile production cycle were damaged.

"In the current state, restoration of production and its further functioning is impossible", Cersanit reported.

The company is currently conducting a detailed assessment of the extent of destruction and damage caused. Preliminary, Cersanit expects that restoration of production capacity will take at least six months.

Before the attack, the plant in Zviahel was one of the largest Ukrainian enterprises in the ceramic tile and sanitary ware segment. LLC "Cersanit Invest" is a subsidiary of the Polish Cersanit S.A. and has been operating in Ukraine since 2007. The enterprise produced tiles under the brands Cersanit and Opoczno, as well as ceramic and acrylic sanitary ware, writes Forbes Ukraine.

According to the publication, the revenue of "Cersanit Invest" for 2025 exceeded UAH 3.7 billion.
