Kravchenko's business trip abroad: the purpose of the Prosecutor General's trip to Europe has been revealed
Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko went to Paris for 5 days "to participate in PACE hearings on Ukrainian children", according to Українська правда.
This is reported in a copy of the order dated September 13 by the Prosecutor General, which was reviewed by UP, according to the Prosecutor General's Office in a comment to UP.
According to the document, Kravchenko states that he left by car "with the aim of participating in the hearing of the PACE Parliamentary Network titled parliamentary measures regarding Ukrainian children in the context of international responsibility"
, guided by Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Prosecutor's Office".
The term of the business trip is 5 days starting from September 13.
It is also indicated that all expenses are covered by the organizers.
The Prosecutor General's Office confirmed the above information to "Ukrainska Pravda".
Background:
- Ruslan Kravchenko, amid the NABU and SAPO investigation into the "protection" of call centers, submitted a resignation letter from the position of Prosecutor General.
- Meanwhile, on September 14, the Prosecutor General announced that he had signed a suspicion notice to NABU Director Semen Kryvonos and accused NABU and SAPO of seizing materials from proceedings against their employees during searches within the special operation "Carthage" to stop procedural decisions in those cases.
- Sources of "Ukrainska Pravda" in law enforcement agencies reported that Kravchenko left the country on the night of September 14 in an official car. The Prosecutor General also published a message that he had gone on a business trip.
- President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appealed to the parliament to promptly support the resignation of Prosecutor General Kravchenko.
- Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk announced that the parliament received a submission from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the dismissal of Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko. The VRU Committee on Law Enforcement supported this submission.
