A third of the enterprises of the largest radio-electronic holding of the Russian Federation are still not under sanctions
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has published data on 54 enterprises of the Russian concern KRET – the largest radio-electronic holding of the Russian Federation, which is part of the state corporation "Rostec" and works for the military-industrial complex. 19 of these enterprises are still not under sanctions from any country of the sanctions coalition.
New data published on the GUR portal War&Sanctions. KRET itself specializes in the development and production of electronic warfare systems, "friend or foe" identification systems and on-board electronic equipment for Russian fighters and helicopters.
The products of the concern's enterprises also include navigation and control systems for drones, electric motors, anti-drone complexes and other equipment used by the Russian military-industrial complex.
KRET also participates in the production chains of Russian missile weapons.
In particular, the Stavropol radio plant "Signal" manufactures sets of small-sized jamming stations S200A1 for 9M723 ballistic missiles of the "Iskander-M" complex. The enterprise is also listed on the GUR portal as a manufacturer of electronic countermeasures.
The Kaluga Scientific Research Radio Engineering Institute, which is part of KRET, produces electronic warfare systems for Russian military aviation, in particular for Su-34, Su-35S and Su-57. According to the GUR, the enterprise is also involved in Russian military production programs.
Among the concern's enterprises there are also companies that supply components for guided air-to-ground missiles Kh-59M2/Kh-59M2A, cruise missiles of the "Iskander-K" complex and Russian drones.
Thus, the enterprise "Inertial Technologies "Tekhnokompleks"" develops and produces inertial navigation systems. It supplies the BINS-M2 system for Kh-59M2/Kh-59M2A missiles, as well as navigation equipment for the "Orion" drone complex.
The Tambov plant "Elektropribor" is involved in the production of the 9M727 cruise missile from the "Iskander-K" complex. According to War&Sanctions, the plant supplies gyroscopic-inertial units for the missile control system, as well as components for Kh-59M2/Kh-59M2A.
The Ulan-Ude Instrument-Making Production Association, which is also part of KRET, produces aviation automation units, radio navigation equipment, sensors and micro-motors. In addition, the enterprise serially produces electric motors for Russian UAVs.
In total, in the section of the War&Sanctions portal dedicated to "Rostec", the GUR has already identified 764 legal entities. Ukrainian intelligence notes that the corporation manages hundreds of enterprises that produce more than half of Russian weapons and military equipment.
The GUR calls on partners to expand sanctions against enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex and synchronize restrictions between different jurisdictions. The intelligence emphasizes that non-sanctioned structures can be used by Russian defense holdings to maintain access to international supply chains, equipment, technologies and components.
Earlier, the GUR published data on 155 enterprises of another "Rostec" holding – "Roselectronics". Almost half of them were also not under sanctions from partner countries at the time of publication.
In addition, separate production chains of Russian missile weapons have already been published on War&Sanctions: the GUR has identified 35 enterprises involved in the production of 9M723 "Iskander-M" and 70 enterprises related to the production of 3M22 "Tsirkon".
