Kyiv may provide tax benefits to businesses affected by Russian shelling

Kyiv authorities are considering the possibility of introducing benefits for enterprises whose facilities were damaged or destroyed by Russian attacks. This concerns payments for land lease and real estate tax.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported this after a meeting with owners and representatives of large businesses operating in the capital and other regions of Ukraine.

According to him, entrepreneurs raised the issue of benefits for land lease under damaged or destroyed facilities, as well as regarding real estate tax payment. The city authorities and businesses agreed to jointly work out possible support options within the current legislation.

Thus, it currently concerns the preparation of a possible assistance mechanism – specific benefits, their amount, and conditions for obtaining have not yet been approved.

Klitschko noted that due to almost continuous Russian attacks, capital enterprises suffer significant losses, but continue to work, provide logistics and services, produce goods and medicines, preserve jobs, and pay taxes.

Business will also be involved in preparing Kyiv for winter

During the meeting, they also discussed preparing the capital for the heating season and the possible participation of enterprises in strengthening the resilience of city infrastructure.

According to the mayor, businesses are already installing alternative power sources, setting up heating points, and helping Kyiv's humanitarian headquarters. Additionally, entrepreneurs expressed readiness to participate in installing mobile shelters in the capital.

In parallel, Ukraine is forming a separate mechanism for recording losses of enterprises. The State Tax Service has developed a notification through which businesses can submit data on property lost, destroyed, or damaged as a result of Russian aggression. This information is to be used to create a registry of affected businesses.
