UKRNAFTA begins importing Arctic diesel from Europe to Ukraine
UKRNAFTA's filling station network has contracted Arctic diesel fuel of European production ORLEN and started supplying it to Ukraine. The first batches of fuel have already been delivered.
The company reported this on September 16. Supplies began as part of the network's preparation for the autumn-winter season of 2026/2027.
UKRNAFTA noted that depending on weather conditions and demand at filling stations, they will sell diesel fuel with various low-temperature characteristics - transitional, winter and Arctic.
The chairman of the board of "Ukrnafta" Bohdan Kukura stated that the company is forming reserves in advance and diversifying supply channels. Last winter, UKRNAFTA also increased diesel imports during periods of high demand, particularly for business and critical services.
ORLEN produces Arctic diesel fuel for operation at low temperatures. For the fuel Ekodiesel ULTRA Class 2, the Polish company specifies a cold filter plugging point not higher than minus 32 degrees, and a cloud point not higher than minus 22 degrees. However, UKRNAFTA in its report did not specify the grade of the product received and its specific temperature indicators.
Supplies began against the backdrop of a noticeable rise in diesel fuel prices in Ukraine. According to the Consulting Group "A-95", the average retail price of diesel as of September 16 was 97.92 UAH per liter compared to 91.41 UAH at the beginning of the month. In the UKRNAFTA network, diesel during this period rose in price from 89.90 to 96.90 UAH per liter.
