In Konotop, Sumy region, after the attack, railway and gas networks damaged, power outages occur

Russian troops massively attacked Konotop, Sumy region, with drones on the night of September 18. The city suffered damage to railway, gas and power networks, educational and medical facilities, residential buildings and small businesses. Two people were injured.

Konotop Mayor Artem Semenikhin reported on the consequences of the attack. According to him, school No. 11 and one of the kindergartens were damaged, as well as medical facilities and municipal transport infrastructure.

Railway infrastructure in the city was also damaged. Due to damage to the gas distribution network, part of Konotop was left without gas supply. Many power lines were cut, causing possible power outages in some areas.

The consequences of the attack were also recorded in the residential sector: many private houses were damaged. Semenikhin also reported damage to a number of small private businesses. Due to the destruction, traffic was obstructed on one of the city streets.

According to the latest data from the mayor, two women were injured. One had an acute stress reaction, the other suffered multiple hand injuries.

The scale of damage after the night attack is still being clarified.
