Russian attack damaged pharmaceutical plant "Darnitsa"

As a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv on September 23, a facility of the pharmaceutical company "Darnitsa" was damaged. No employees were killed.

Information was confirmed by board member Kateryna Zagoriy. Later, the pharmaceutical company "Darnitsa" also reported on the consequences of the attack.

The company emphasized that for security reasons, until the competent services complete their work, they will not disclose the nature of the damage or other details of the impact.

Also, "Darnitsa" called on people not to share photos, videos, or other information that could contain details about the damaged facility.

The company has not yet released information about possible injured employees, the impact of the attack on the production process, or timelines for restoring operations.

"Darnitsa" is one of the major Ukrainian manufacturers of medicinal products. The company's history spans over 90 years, and its products are represented in more than 20 countries. The company's production facilities are certified according to GMP standards. This is stated on the manufacturer's official website.

The company produces a wide range of prescription and over-the-counter drugs and develops exports. At the end of 2025, "Darnitsa" received the EU GMP certificate from the Polish regulator, which opens up additional opportunities for working in the European pharmaceutical market.

According to Opendatabot, in 2025 the revenue of PrJSC "Pharmaceutical Firm "Darnitsa" amounted to UAH 4.25 billion. The company employed more than 1.4 thousand people. In the first half of 2026, the company received UAH 3.28 billion in revenue and UAH 150.9 million in net profit.

Thus, the strike hit one of the prominent domestic manufacturers of medicinal products. The scale of the attack's impact on the company's operations can be assessed after the company completes the investigation of the consequences and permits the release of relevant information.
