Crypto cards in Ukraine and the EU: which are available and what payments cost
Not every crypto card that accepts a Ukrainian passport can be issued to a Ukrainian address. We check residents of Ukraine and Ukrainians in the EU separately, and we count the cost along the whole route, from the crypto balance to the merchant payment.
As of 15 August 2026: for a resident of Ukraine only WhiteBIT Nóva is fully confirmed; W CARD / Weld, Trustee Plus and Utorg are still being checked. In the EU the choice is wider and depends on the country of residence.
A crypto wallet and a crypto card solve different problems: this page is only about cards for spending. For storing cryptocurrency see crypto wallets.
Crypto cards for a resident of Ukraine
Confirmed: WhiteBIT Nóva.
Still checking: W CARD / Weld, Trustee Plus, Utorg.
Watching: Kolo Spend Card.
WhiteBIT Nóva — a confirmed card for a resident of Ukraine
ConfirmedWhiteBIT explicitly lists Ukraine among the countries where Nóva is available. It is a Visa debit card: at the time of purchase the required amount is taken from the selected assets on the WhiteBIT Main balance and converted into EUR. There is no separate prepaid balance to top up.
| Who can apply | Residents of Ukraine who have passed the required KYC level; restrictions apply to certain territories. |
| Settlement currency | EUR. |
| Where the funds come from | From the WhiteBIT Main balance; the crypto asset is converted into EUR at the time of purchase. |
| Known fees | Transaction fee up to 1%. The full cost also depends on the actual conversion of the crypto asset into EUR. |
| ATMs and mobile wallets | Withdrawals are available for the physical card; Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported. |
| Main limitation | The published "up to 1%" is not the full purchase price: the actual crypto-to-EUR conversion rate varies. |
Limits: up to €10,000 of spending per day and €25,000 per month. For ATMs: up to €1,000 per day and €3,000 per month; the fee depends on the withdrawal region.

Cards we are still checking for Ukraine
← scroll the table horizontally →
| Card | What is known | Why we do not recommend it yet | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| W CARD / Weld | W CARD remains a live Unex Bank product; the bank describes a UAH card with conversion through Weld Money. | Current onboarding of a new user through Weld Money and the full cost of converting crypto into UAH are not confirmed. | Checking |
| Trustee Plus | Virtual Visa Prepaid in USD, separate balance, top-ups in USDC/USDT; the fee schedule is published. | The official wording on availability for Ukrainians contradicts the footnotes about residence outside Ukraine. | Checking |
| Utorg | Ukraine is on the list of countries, KYC and virtual card issuance are described; a limit of up to €50,000 per month is declared. | The same page calls the product available in the EEA, and the zero fees are declared as a temporary offer. | Strong candidate |
We do not include Kolo Spend Card in the comparison yet: the public materials are not consistent enough on actual card issuance, the current provider and the fees.

What spending crypto really costs
We count the whole route from the crypto balance to the merchant payment. Mandatory conversion, topping up a separate card balance and currency exchange stay inside the calculation. If a provider does not show one of these layers, we do not record it as 0%.
Example: a user from Ukraine pays a EUR merchant or a subscription

| Card | What is published | What is still unknown | Conclusion |
|---|---|---|---|
| WhiteBIT Nóva | 0–1% per transaction | The actual rate and spread of the crypto-to-EUR conversion | Full cost not yet determined |
| Trustee Plus | 0.5% for topping up the card balance; $10 for issuance | Visa USD→EUR rate; availability for an address in Ukraine | Candidate; full cost not determined |
| Utorg | Within the current promotion, 0% payment fee and no FX markup are declared | The crypto conversion rate at the moment of the operation and the fee after the promotion | Cannot be read as "0% full cost" |
| W CARD / Weld | 0% bank fee for purchases | Crypto-to-UAH conversion through Weld + Mastercard UAH→EUR rate | Cannot be read as "0% full cost" |
Kurs Test: checking what the fee schedule does not show
Once a controlled purchase with a real card is available, we will show the actual crypto debit, the market rate at the same moment and the effective cost of the payment with the test date. Until then an unpublished spread remains unknown, not zero.
What this means over a year
As a reference we take €300 of spending per month for 12 months, with no ATM use. This is not a price ranking but the sum of only those costs that can already be confirmed by the fee schedules.
WhiteBIT Nóva: €0–36 of known transaction fees per year; the crypto-to-EUR conversion rate is not included.
Trustee Plus: €18 equivalent of top-up fees at this turnover + $10 for issuance; the Visa USD→EUR rate remains separate.
Utorg: during the promotion the published explicit fees may equal €0, but the mandatory crypto conversion means the route cannot be called free.
W CARD / Weld: the bank fee for purchases may be €0, but the cost of conversion through Weld and the subsequent UAH→EUR exchange has not been measured yet.
Crypto card, or sell the crypto and withdraw the money the usual way
For a Ukrainian user this is often more important than choosing between two cards. What needs comparing are two complete routes from the same crypto asset to the same purchase.
Route A — crypto card
crypto balance → conversion / card balance top-up → merchant
Fewer manual steps, but part of the conversion spread or the FX rate may only become visible after the operation.
Route B — sell and spend with an ordinary card
crypto → sale / exchange → fiat withdrawal → bank card → merchant
More steps, but the sale or exchange rate can often be seen before the operation and compared between providers.
There is no universal winner: the result depends on the specific crypto asset, the amount, the withdrawal method, the country and the currency exchange. For the alternative route see the exchange and withdrawal rates and the crypto exchange rating.
Crypto cards for Ukrainians living in the EU / EEA
In Europe the choice is wider, but the country of residence matters more than the passport. For a resident of Germany the basic scenario is a purchase in EUR; in Poland or Czechia currency exchange happens almost daily, so we count PLN and CZK separately.
If you already use an exchange: Bybit EU Card gives simple access to the Funding Account, but paying from crypto carries a 0.9% conversion fee.
If self-custody matters: Gnosis Pay and MetaMask Card keep the assets in your own wallet until the moment of payment.
If you need a separate prepaid balance: Crypto.com works through a separate EUR card balance.
Bybit EU Card — if your funds are already on Bybit EU
The Mastercard uses EUR from the Funding Account and, when fiat runs short, converts the selected cryptocurrency. This is convenient for an already active Bybit EU user, but the crypto sale rate remains part of the actual price.
| Availability | For residents of supported EEA countries; check the specific country before applying. |
| How funds are debited | First EUR from the Funding Account, then the selected cryptocurrency through conversion. |
| ATM | 2% after the first €100 of withdrawals per month; the ATM may add its own fee. |
| Main nuance | The published 0.9% conversion fee is not the whole rate: One-Click Sell remains a variable layer. |
Gnosis Pay — self-custody and no FX fee of its own
Gnosis Pay links a Visa card to a Safe controlled by the user. The provider adds no fee of its own for purchases or currency exchange; for a payment in another currency the Visa rate applies.
| Availability | Supported countries include Poland, Czechia, Germany, Italy and Spain; Ukraine is not on the current list of residence countries for the card. |
| How funds are debited | From your own Safe, where the user controls the assets, in supported stablecoins. |
| Issuance | The current pricing page shows free card ordering and delivery; check the final amount on the checkout screen. |
| Main nuance | In a country outside the eurozone the real price is set by the Visa rate, so 0% FX fee of its own does not mean no currency difference. |
MetaMask Card — spending from your own wallet
MetaMask Card lets you spend supported tokens without first transferring them to an exchange or prepaid balance. For European users availability depends on the specific country.
| Availability | Poland is on the current list; Czechia is not. Check the list of countries before applying. |
| How funds are debited | From supported tokens in the MetaMask wallet, where the user controls the assets. |
| ATM | For the virtual card outside the US, cash withdrawals are currently unavailable. |
| Main nuance | The fee depends on the token, its currency, the merchant currency and whether the purchase is cross-border. |
Crypto.com Prepaid Visa — a separate balance in EUR
Crypto.com works through a prepaid card balance: the crypto must first be converted and loaded in EUR. So a zero fee on the purchase itself does not mean zero cost on the route from crypto to merchant.
| Availability | Poland, Czechia, Germany, Italy, Spain and other countries on the current Crypto.com European list. |
| How funds are debited | From a separate prepaid EUR card balance after prior conversion. |
| Issuance | Physical Midnight — €4.99 under the current European fee schedule; other tiers have their own terms. |
| Main nuance | The mandatory crypto-to-EUR conversion must be counted before the purchase, not left out of the comparison. |
What changes between EUR and PLN / CZK
← scroll the table horizontally →
| Card | Purchase in EUR from crypto | Purchase in PLN / CZK | What sets the real price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bybit EU | 0.9% + One-Click Sell rate | the same + 0.5% + Mastercard rate | crypto sale rate |
| Gnosis Pay | 0% purchase fee of its own | no FX fee of its own + Visa rate | Visa card rate |
| MetaMask | for a matching stablecoin the separate token usage fee may be 0% | for a EUR/USD stablecoin in PLN — 0.5% + Mastercard rate | token and merchant currency |
| Crypto.com | 0% purchase fee once the EUR balance is loaded | Midnight: 0.2% + Visa rate; other tiers may differ | prior crypto-to-EUR conversion |
What to check before getting a crypto card
- Residency. Check the country of residence, not just whether the service accepts a Ukrainian passport.
- Conversion route. Find out whether crypto is debited directly or a separate balance must be topped up first.
- Base currency and FX. A EUR card in Poland or Czechia may carry an FX layer on every local purchase.
- Issuer and custody. Know not only the card brand but who actually issues it and where the assets are held.
- Limits and ATMs. Check daily/monthly limits and the separate fees for cash withdrawals.
- Verification date. Availability countries, issuers and fees of crypto cards change faster than those of ordinary bank cards.
Using a crypto card does not cancel tax, reporting or other regulatory obligations, which may depend on the country of residence and the specific operation.
How we verify data and affiliate links
Availability, fees, limits and ATM terms are checked monthly; a change of issuer, payment provider, licence status or product closure is recorded out of schedule. If a provider or issuer loses the right to service the card, the marketing page alone is not proof of current availability.
Some of the application buttons may be affiliate links. Compensation does not affect inclusion, status or the conclusion on availability. Cards we are still checking do not get a recommending affiliate button until the key questions are closed.
