Zelensky receives credentials from ambassadors of five countries

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky received credentials from the new ambassadors of Oman, North Macedonia, the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands, and France.

During the meeting, the head of state congratulated the diplomats on beginning their work in Ukraine and discussed bilateral relations and further cooperation between the countries with each of them.

Zelensky also informed the ambassadors about the Russian attack on the night of July 30. According to him, Russian forces used a large number of ballistic missiles. The strikes resulted in casualties.

The president noted that Russia continued to attack Ukrainian cities and settlements even during his meeting with the diplomats.

Against this backdrop, Zelensky once again called strengthening air defense an unchanging priority for Ukraine. He emphasized the need for additional missile packages for air defense systems, as well as joint work with partners on developing means to counter ballistic threats.

According to the president, the states that can help Ukraine with air defense missiles or ballistic interception technologies are directly participating in protecting the lives of Ukrainians.

Zelensky thanked Oman, North Macedonia, the UAE, the Netherlands, and France for their support of Ukraine.

Previously, the president repeatedly discussed the need to strengthen Ukrainian air and missile defense with the leadership of the Netherlands and France.
