Government urgently organizes meetings with business after large-scale strikes on logistics centers

The government will urgently hold meetings with representatives of Ukrainian business after a massive Russian strike on Kyiv and Kyiv region. This was announced by Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi.

According to him, the Ministry of Economy was instructed to work out solutions necessary for the uninterrupted operation of logistics companies and trade enterprises.

On the night of August 5, Russian troops launched 28 missiles and 115 drones at Ukraine. The main strike hit Kyiv and Kyiv region.

As of the morning, 17 dead are known. Another 44 people were injured. Residential buildings, shops, warehouses, and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

410 SES rescuers and over 100 units of special equipment were involved in eliminating the consequences of the attack.

Koretskyi emphasized that Russia is intensifying strikes on enterprises that serve millions of people. Manufacturing, trade, and logistics complexes were affected during the attack.

In particular, the sorting center of 'Nova Poshta' in Kyiv was destroyed. Three people died at the site, and eight more were injured. The company promised to compensate customers for the declared value of damaged shipments.

In Brovary, three ballistic missiles destroyed the largest warehouse complex of Rozetka, which processed over 100,000 orders daily. According to the company's preliminary assessment, the facility is beyond repair.

The Epicentr group of companies lost two logistics facilities in Kyiv and Kyiv region. The production capacities of the Epicentr Ceramic Corporation plant were also destroyed. One employee of the company died, and three others were injured.

The government must determine what assistance the affected enterprises need to maintain the supply of goods and the operation of logistics networks.
