Ukrainian electric vehicle market shrank by 44% in July
In July 2026, the Ukrainian vehicle fleet was replenished by over 3.9 thousand vehicles with fully electric powertrains. Compared to July of last year, demand for electric vehicles decreased by 44%.
Passenger electric vehicles accounted for the bulk of primary registrations – 3,756 units. Of these, only 423 cars were new, which is 73% less than last year. The number of imported used electric cars decreased by 37% – to 3,333 units.
In the commercial segment, 172 electric vehicles were registered, among which only 14 were new. In July 2025, the Ukrainian fleet was replenished with 176 commercial electric cars, including 20 new ones.

Earlier, Kurs Ukraine reported that the share of electric vehicles among imported used cars in July fell from 24% to 15%. Meanwhile, petrol cars increased their share to 55%.
