On the last day of summer, the interbank currency market continues to see a supply-demand balance supported by the National Bank's interventions. Deals in the first half of the trading session are going in the range of 44.54-44.59 UAH.

Judging by the relatively small volume of deals concluded in the Bloomberg trading system, there are few willing to buy currency (or those with free hryvnia for this) today. As for exporters, they clearly show no desire to sell their foreign currency earnings at current prices. As a result, the hryvnia looks quite strong and confident.

The euro on the interbank currency market of Ukraine cheapened on Monday and is trading in the range of 51.64-51.70 UAH on the 'bid' position. This is 17-20 kopecks cheaper than last Friday. The decline in euro prices in Ukraine is a consequence of its fall on FOREX last Friday after the 'hawkish' speech by the new US Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh at the symposium in the American town of Jackson Hole.

In the capital, prices for cash dollars have practically not changed compared to last Friday. Both then and today, wholesale exchange offices in Kyiv sell dollars at 44.75-44.77 UAH. In other cities, prices also have hardly changed. In Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Khmelnytskyi, Poltava and Dnipro the dollar is sold at 44.80 UAH, in Odesa – at 44.82 UAH.

By 1 p.m. Ukrainian banks sell the dollar at prices ranging from 44.69 UAH at Creditwest Bank to 45.05 UAH at Zaporizhia's Metabank. As for the euro, at the moment it can be bought cheapest at 51.88 UAH at Raiffeisen Bank and Creditwest Bank.

Oil prices in the world are rising again. The price of the most popular Brent grade rose to $91.51 per barrel by the time of writing and is currently trading in the range of $91.21-91.41 per barrel.

On crypto exchanges in recent days, high volatility of major cryptocurrency prices persists: they sometimes sharply rise, then just as sharply fall. Thus, Bitcoin (BTC) on the popular Binance crypto exchange dropped to $77,000 per coin on Sunday, and Ethereum (ETH) to $2,387.28 per coin. Currently, Bitcoin is sold at $78,440-78,460 per coin, and Ethereum – at $2,440-2,450 per coin.
