Russia struck enterprises and civilian infrastructure in two regions: consequences
As a result of a massive Russian attack on the night of September 1 in the Kyiv region, an enterprise, warehouse premises, a gas station, a service station, a store, and other civilian infrastructure objects were damaged. Separately, Russian drones attacked an enterprise in Novhorod-Siverskyi in the Chernihiv region.
The most damage to businesses and infrastructure was recorded in Boryspil and the Obukhiv district. According to the Kyiv regional authorities, in Boryspil, an enterprise building was affected, service station premises and a store were damaged. At one of the infrastructure facilities, a truck caught fire after the strike.
In the Obukhiv district, warehouse premises and a gas station were damaged. In the village of Hryhorivka, debris damaged another infrastructure facility. Residential buildings and cars were also destroyed.
In parallel, Novhorod-Siverskyi in the Chernihiv region came under attack. According to the head of the district military administration, Oleksandr Seliverstov, at least six drone strikes on one of the local enterprises were recorded around midnight. The scale of damage there is being clarified.
The attack also led to human casualties. According to the latest data from the regional authorities, four people died in Boryspil and 13 were injured. Another person was injured in the Obukhiv district.
In addition to commercial and infrastructure facilities, a five-story residential building and private houses were damaged in Boryspil, and a number of residential buildings in the Obukhiv district. Rescuers and utility services continue to eliminate the consequences of the strikes and record the scale of destruction.
According to the Air Force, on the night of September 1, Russia used against Ukraine ballistic missiles "Iskander-M"/KN-23/S-400, cruise missiles "Kalibr", anti-radar missiles Kh-31P, "Tsyrkon" missiles, S8000 "Banderol" targets, as well as 218 attack UAVs of the Shahed type and imitation drones. About a third of the Shaheds used were jet-powered.
The main strike directions were the Odesa and Kyiv regions. As of 08:30, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 199 targets: five ballistic missiles "Iskander-M"/KN-23/S-400, two S8000 "Banderol", five cruise missiles "Kalibr", and 187 UAVs of the Shahed, "Herbera" and other types. Hits by missiles and attack UAVs were recorded at 28 locations, and debris falls of downed targets at another 10.
Let us remind you that on the night of September 1, Russia struck with ballistics at a railway depot in Kyiv, and also attacked a border crossing point on the border with Romania.
