Purchased trips not displayed in "Kyiv Digital": KMDA explained the situation
Users of the "Kyiv Digital" app complain about problems with transport cards after the end of the transition period to new tariffs. According to them, purchased trips do not appear on the card, and funds for unused trips at old tariffs are not yet displayed in "My Wallet". KMDA stated that refunds may take up to a week.
Users began reporting problems on September 15 on Threads.
In particular, some Kyiv residents write that after purchasing a new trip package, funds are debited, but the trips themselves do not appear on the transport card. Other users report that after the expiration of old trips, their cost has not yet been credited to the balance of "My Wallet".
The situation arose after the end of a two-month transition period, introduced simultaneously with the increase in public transport tariffs in Kyiv.
Trips purchased on a transport card before July 14 at old tariffs could be used until September 14 inclusive. After that, they were supposed to be automatically converted into monetary equivalent and credited to the balance of the transport card.
Earlier, "Kyiv Digital" reported that the transfer would begin on September 15. For example, if 10 trips purchased at 6.50 UAH remained on the transport card, the user was supposed to receive 65 UAH to the wallet.
However, on September 15, KMDA clarified that the crediting would not be instant. The cost of all trips unused by September 14 inclusive at old tariffs is to be transferred to the "My Wallet" of the transport card within a week.
After the money arrives, it can be used to purchase new trips at current tariffs. To do this, in "Kyiv Digital" you need to open the transport card, go to the "My Wallet" section and choose the purchase of trips.
At the same time, KMDA's message about gradual refunds does not explain individual complaints from users that trips already paid for at new tariffs do not appear on the transport card after purchase.
A separate message about a large-scale technical failure in the operation of the transport service "Kyiv Digital" had not been published by the city authorities at the time of publication.
