Russia has moved to massive strikes on energy, with outages in 11 regions

After Russian strikes on energy infrastructure in the morning of September 30, new power outages occurred in Kyiv and five regions of Ukraine.

As reported by "Ukrenergo", outages were recorded in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Sumy and Kyiv regions, as well as in the capital.

In regions where security situation allows, power engineers have already started emergency restoration works. Meanwhile, in some regions at the time of the report, air alert was still ongoing.

Electricity consumption in Ukraine decreased in the morning. As of 09:30, it was 2.1% lower than at the same time the previous day.

In "Ukrenergo", this was explained by clear weather in almost all regions, thanks to which household solar power plants work more efficiently, and consumption of electricity from the general grid decreases.

Meanwhile, in the evening of September 29, the daily maximum consumption was 1.3% higher than the maximum on Monday, September 28.

Power engineers advise today to postpone the use of powerful electrical appliances to the period from 10:00 to 16:00, when industrial solar power plants work most efficiently.

"Ukrenergo" emphasized that the situation in the energy system may change, so consumers are advised to follow the notifications of their distribution system operators.
