Bitfinex cryptocurrency exchange

Bitfinex – one of the very first cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, founded in 2012. The project's official mission is to popularize blockchain technology and digital currency and to provide the best trading experience for clients. It is now positioned as the best venue for professional trading.

The exchange is owned by the Hong Kong company iFinex Inc., which also owns Tether Limited (the company responsible for the USDT stablecoin).

The platform currently lists around 200 tokens. The administration claims that all tokens undergo regular checks for compliance with governance standards and liquidity parameters. By trading volume, according to CoinMarketCap, Bitfinex is among the top ten projects. The exchange is known for fairly low trading fees: they do not exceed 0.2% on most trades.
