Air defense missile supplies have decreased threefold - Zelenskyy

In the first half of 2026, Ukraine received three times fewer missiles for air defense from partners than in the same periods of 2025. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following a meeting with military leadership, the Ministry of Defense, the SSU and the Defence Intelligence.

According to the president, the reduction applies not only to the summer months, but to all periods of the first half of the year. Due to the decrease in supplies, Ukraine is preparing additional measures to protect critical and civilian infrastructure.

Zelenskyy emphasized that partners have the missiles, but political decisions are needed to transfer them to Ukraine. A separate area should be accelerating the production of air defense and missile defense means, in particular localization of part of the production processes in Ukraine.

The president also heard a report from Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi. The head of government, together with business representatives, must propose measures to support entrepreneurial and logistics activities after the Russian strikes.

Earlier, Current Ukraine reported on the destruction of facilities of Rozetka, Nova Poshta, and Epicenter. During the same attack, the logistics center of NOVUS and two distribution centers of Silpo were damaged, where six employees were killed. Companies are reorganizing supply chains to maintain store operations and delivery of goods.

Separately, the meeting outlined the priorities of Ukrainian long-range operations for August. According to Zelenskyy, strikes against Russian oil facilities and oil refineries are ongoing. Ukraine will also call on partners to strengthen sanctions against Russia so that they complement Ukrainian attacks on the sources of war financing.

At the end, the military reported on the situation at the front. The main focus was on Kostiantynivka and Slavyansk. Mykhailo Drapaty presented data on the forces, capabilities, and tasks of units in these directions, while Yevhenii Khmara identified urgent needs for drones and financing.

Based on the meeting results, active actions in Donetsk region and other parts of the front were also agreed upon, and personnel issues in the Armed Forces were discussed.
