Ukraine to create state app for tracking missiles and drones

Ukraine plans to create a new state application that will notify not only about air alarms, but also about current threats, in particular the movement of Russian missiles, "Shaheds" and other drones. The service will be created on the basis of "Diia".

This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Koretskyi.

According to him, the goal of the new service is to form a single information field with official data on danger.

Separately, I want to add that on the basis of "Diia" a state application about air alarms, about danger, about the movement of "Shaheds", drones, missiles will be created, so that there is a single information field about current threats and, in general, information from the primary source, from the government.

Koretskyi did not specify when exactly the application is planned to be launched, what functions it will have, and in what form it will show information about the movement of air targets. His words also imply that this is a separate state application created on the basis of "Diia", and not necessarily a new function directly in "Diia" itself.

Currently, Ukraine already has the "Air Alarm" application, which notifies users about the announcement and cancellation of alarms and some other types of danger. At the same time, operational information about the directions of movement of attack drones and missiles is published by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in their official Telegram and WhatsApp channels.

Thus, one of the differences of the service announced by the government should be the combination in one state application of alarm signals and official information about current air threats.
