Russian attack caused fire at an enterprise in Brovary

In Brovary, Kyiv region, as a result of a Russian attack on September 4, a fire broke out at one of the industrial enterprises. As of the latest reports from local authorities, no information about casualties has been received.

This was reported by Brovary Mayor Ihor Sapozhko.

Due to the fire, smoke began to spread over the city, so residents were urged to close their windows.

Telegram channels also published a video, which, according to their data, was filmed in Brovary after the Russian strike. The footage shows a massive fire and a large column of thick black smoke.

Local authorities separately warned that debris from downed Russian aerial targets may remain on the territory of the community. Residents were urged not to approach such objects and to report them to the State Emergency Service or the police.

Air quality deteriorated in Brovary

Later, a temporary deterioration in atmospheric air quality was recorded in the city. According to the results of round-the-clock monitoring, the main pollutant in moderate concentrations was fine particulate dust.

Experts recommended keeping windows closed until the situation improves, reducing prolonged outdoor stays if possible, and using air purifiers.

At the same time, local authorities did not establish a direct cause-and-effect relationship between the recorded pollution and the fire at the industrial enterprise.

The gamma radiation level in Kyiv region remains within the natural background.
