Russia destroyed a warehouse of a major pharmacy chain: hundreds of tons of medicine lost

The Russian attack on September 3 destroyed a medicine warehouse of the network "Good Day Pharmacy". The company reported the loss of hundreds of tons of medications intended for patients across Ukraine.

The consequences of the strike were reported by the Director of Strategic Development and Innovations of "Good Day Pharmacy" Serhiy Hornitskyi. The company revealed the scale of destruction only a few days after the attack.

According to him, before the strike, the warehouse was filled with medicines. After the attack, only charred metal structures and ruins remained of the building.

"Hundreds of tons of medications, which patients across the country were awaiting for the treatment of various diseases, were destroyed in an instant", - reported Hornitskyi.

He noted that after the initial shock, the company continues to work and tries to recover from the losses.

"Today, doing business in Ukraine is a daily marathon of survival, where you fight for every day, for every job, for every opportunity to hold on", - wrote the network representative.

Pharmaceutical warehouses regularly come under Russian strikes

The attack became part of a series of strikes on pharmaceutical and medical logistics. The same day, September 3, the pharmaceutical logistics complex "Biocon" in Boryspil district of Kyiv region was significantly damaged as a result of a Russian attack. Also, the company Teva reported that its warehouse in Ukraine was hit twice during the day.

Another strike on major pharmaceutical logistics occurred on the night of September 8. Russian military attacked with two ballistic missiles a warehouse in Kyiv of one of the largest distributors of pharmaceutical products "Optima-Farm".

This facility had already been destroyed by a Russian attack on October 25, 2025, so at the time of the new strike the warehouse remained empty. No casualties were reported.

After the 2025 attack, "Optima-Farm" estimated the losses of the warehouse and products at over $100 million. At that time, the company reported that the volume of destroyed medications was about 20% of the monthly stock of medicines in Ukraine.
