Home textile manufacturer moves out of Kyiv after destruction of its facilities
Ukrainian manufacturer “TK-Domashniy Tekstil” has decided to relocate its production facilities from Kyiv to other regions of the country after a Russian missile strike destroyed a significant part of the plant and warehouse infrastructure. The company has already begun preparing for the decentralization of production.
The Kyiv site is currently clearing debris and assessing damage. Specialists are determining what equipment could be preserved, what can be restored, and which assets are lost completely. According to the company’s preliminary assessment, fully restoring production at the previous site will be extremely difficult.
The strike destroyed sewing and knitting production, as well as capacities for ultrasonic welding of fabrics. Warehouses and part of the processing equipment received significant damage.
Before the attack, the company’s production, warehousing, and office units were concentrated in one location in Kyiv. This model allowed for a shorter production cycle, simplified internal logistics, and reduced product cost. However, after the strike, management decided to change this approach.
“Concentration of all production in one place was too great a risk for wartime,” — said Vladimir Martsenyuk, managing partner of TK-Domashniy Tekstil.
Now the company plans to gradually move production processes to the regions, restore lost equipment, and create new capacities. Decentralization should reduce the risk of repeated loss of a significant part of production from a single strike. The company also expects to create additional jobs in the regions.
TK-Domashniy Tekstil states that it does not plan to cease operations. The company continues to fulfill current orders and intends to maintain obligations to customers and partners.
The company has been operating since 2012 and produces bed linen, blankets, pillows, kitchen and other home textiles, knitwear, and workwear. As of 2026, the company employs 234 people. In the first half of the year, its net income amounted to 268.6 million UAH, with a net profit of 2 million UAH. In 2025, revenue reached about 593 million UAH.
This is at least the second strike on the group’s facilities in less than a year. In November 2025, a Russian attack damaged about 5,000 sq. m of production and warehouse premises of Textile-Contact. The preliminary damage was estimated at $300,000, and part of production and logistics had to be distributed among other group enterprises.
