After Russian attacks, new power outages occurred in six regions

After new Russian attacks on energy infrastructure on the morning of September 25, power outages were recorded in six regions of Ukraine. Emergency restoration work is already underway where the security situation allows. This was reported by "Ukrenergo".

New power outages after shelling are in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Odesa, and Mykolaiv regions. Power engineers are restoring damaged equipment and trying to return power to consumers as soon as possible.

Some problems in the power grid were caused by bad weather. As of morning, about 150 settlements in Sumy and Poltava regions were fully or partially without electricity.

In some settlements of Sumy region, repair of power lines is complicated due to the security situation.

At the same time, total electricity consumption in the country has decreased. As of 09:30 on September 25, it was 5.3% lower than at the same time the previous day. In "Ukrenergo" this is explained by less cloud cover in some regions and, accordingly, more efficient operation of household solar power plants.

The daily maximum consumption on September 24 was recorded in the evening and remained at the level of the previous day.

Due to the state of the power system, the operator recommends shifting active use of electricity to the period from 11:00 to 15:00, when industrial solar power plants work most efficiently.

In the evening hours - from 16:00 to 22:00 - consumers are asked not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time. In "Ukrenergo" also emphasize that the situation in the power system may change, so it is worth following the messages of local distribution system operators.
