Oil depot catches fire in Russia's Krasnodar Krai after drone attack

In Russia's Krasnodar Krai on the night of September 28, after a drone attack, an oil depot of the "Edelweiss-95" company caught fire in the village of Novotitarovskaya. The facility is used for storage and wholesale shipment of diesel fuel and gasoline.

Astra reports this, having conducted OSINT analysis of footage released by eyewitnesses.

Local residents around three o'clock in the morning reported the passage of drones, an air alert, and a series of explosions. According to them, explosions were heard in the area of the railway, after which a large fire broke out.

Initially, various versions regarding the target appeared in monitoring channels. In particular, a possible strike on the Pavlovsk oil depot was reported. However, after analyzing the footage, Astra identified the fire site as the "Edelweiss-95" oil depot in Novotitarovskaya, Dinskoy district, approximately 25 km from Krasnodar.

"Edelweiss-95" specializes in wholesale supplies of Euro-5 diesel fuel and AI-92, AI-95, and AI-100 gasoline. The company states that its oil depot has a total tank capacity of 4500 cubic meters.

The facility has its own railway branch for receiving and shipping petroleum products. The company claims to have been in the fuel market for over 30 years, purchasing products directly from major Russian refineries and using its own oil depot for prompt wholesale shipments.

There is no information yet on the extent of tank damage, possible fuel loss, or the timeline for resuming operations.

The attack on Krasnodar Krai was part of a large-scale night drone attack on Russian territory. Russia's Defense Ministry claims that air defenses intercepted and destroyed 254 Ukrainian drones over various regions of the country during the night. There is no independent confirmation of this figure.

The Ukrainian side had not separately reported a strike on the "Edelweiss-95" oil depot at the time of publication.
