After Russian attacks, new power outages emerged in eight regions

Russian attacks on energy infrastructure caused new power outages in eight regions of Ukraine. Emergency restoration work is already underway where security situation allows. This was reported by "Ukrenergo".

As of the morning of September 28, new outages were recorded in Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kyiv, and Odesa regions.

"Ukrenergo" noted that power engineers are trying to quickly bring damaged equipment back into operation and restore electricity supply to all consumers.

Some outages were also caused by bad weather. Due to adverse weather conditions, 11 settlements in Sumy and Poltava regions remain fully or partially without electricity. Damaged power lines are being repaired by oblenergo crews.

Overall, electricity consumption currently corresponds to seasonal indicators. As of 09:30 on September 28, it was at the same level as at this time on the previous working day – September 25.

At the same time, on September 27, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 2.9% higher than the maximum of the previous Sunday, September 20.

"Ukrenergo" advises to shift active electricity consumption to the period from 11:00 to 15:00 when industrial solar power plants operate most efficiently.

In the evening hours – from 17:00 to 22:00 – Ukrainians are asked not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances simultaneously and to consume electricity savvily overall.
