Fuel prices nearly frozen, but premium gasoline recovered Friday's drop
Retail fuel prices in Ukraine as of September 28 mostly remained at the level of the previous quotation day. The most notable change was in premium A-95+ gasoline: its average cost rose by 57 kopecks to 93.57 UAH/l.
This is according to data from the A-95 Consulting Group.
The increase in the average price of A-95+ is largely linked to UKRNAFTA. The chain raised its price by 3 UAH at once, from 88.90 to 91.90 UAH/l. In effect, the operator returned the price to the level that was in effect before Friday's reduction.
On September 25, "Kurs Ukrainy" wrote that UKRNAFTA, on the contrary, lowered A-95+ by 3 UAH, causing the average price of premium gasoline across the country to fall by 56 kopecks at that time. Thus, after the weekend, this movement has been almost completely reversed.
For other types of fuel, the average changes remained minimal. A-92 costs 85.98 UAH/l, A-95 costs 89.27 UAH/l, diesel costs 98.43 UAH/l, and autogas costs 43.92 UAH/l.

Among the eight largest operators, most price signs did not change after the weekend. OKKO and WOG maintain A-95 at 92.90 UAH/l, premium gasoline at 95.90 UAH/l, and diesel at 99.90 UAH/l.
The main prices also remained unchanged at UPG, SOCAR, and KLO. At AMIC, autogas became slightly cheaper by about 3 kopecks.
At BRSM-Nafta, the average cost of A-95 and diesel added about 5 kopecks each. Instead, the most notable movement among large chains remains the increase of A-95+ at UKRNAFTA by 3 UAH/l.
Outside the top-8 operators, price movements were more noticeable. VostokGaz after Friday's reduction returned A-95 and diesel up by 2 UAH at once, to 87.49 and 97.49 UAH/l respectively. Autogas in the chain rose by 1 UAH to 43.49 UAH/l. Thus, the operator effectively canceled the reduction carried out at the end of last week.
Grand Petrol raised premium gasoline and diesel by 1 UAH/l to 96.90 and 99.90 UAH/l. At DNIPRONAFTA, the average price of A-95 increased by about 33 kopecks, and autogas by 17 kopecks. At the same time, Avtotrans lowered autogas by an average of 20 kopecks.
The price threshold above 100 UAH/l for diesel is maintained. Among the largest operators, the most expensive remains at SOCAR at 103 UAH/l, while OKKO and WOG keep the price just below this mark at 99.90 UAH/l.
Overall, the data for September 28 show that after the previous wave of September price increases, the main types of fuel remain in a stabilization phase. Sharp changes are now concentrated mainly in individual chains, while the average prices of A-95 gasoline, diesel, and autogas are virtually unchanged.
