Exporters increased currency sales at the end of the month

On Tuesday, September 29, demand for the cashless currency that had risen in price the day before on the interbank foreign exchange market began to decline. This immediately affected dollar quotes: they moved down and by 1:10 p.m. had dropped from 44.95 to 44.83 hryvnia on the 'bid' position.

According to analysts of the 'Kurs Ukrainy' portal, the end-of-month factor began to take effect: exporters increased sales of foreign currency earnings, taking advantage of the fact that prices had risen, while importers, on the contrary, adopted a wait-and-see attitude, not rushing to buy at current prices and hoping that quotes would decrease after lunch.

The euro on Ukraine's interbank foreign exchange market on Tuesday is trading in the range of 50.82-51.06 hryvnia on the 'bid' position - practically at the same level as yesterday. On the international FOREX currency market, the euro continues to decline and has already dropped to the mark of 1.13325 dollars, as alarming news continues to come from the Middle East. There is no progress in the US-Iran negotiations.

Price tags for cash dollars slightly increased compared to Monday. If yesterday in Kyiv wholesale exchange offices in Kyiv sold dollars at 44.88-44.90 hryvnia, today - at 44.90-44.94 hryvnia. In Mykolaiv dollars are sold today at 44.92 hryvnia, in Dnipro - at 44.95 hryvnia, in Kharkiv - at 44.99 hryvnia, in Odesa and Poltava - at exactly 45.00 hryvnia.

Ukrainian banks by 1:00 p.m. are selling dollars at prices from 44.90 hryvnia in the Kyiv branch of Poltava-Bank to 45.51 hryvnia in Zaporizhzhia's Metbank. As for the euro, currently it can be purchased cheapest at 51.17 hryvnia in Credit Agricole Bank.

Oil prices on Tuesday are declining after yesterday's unsuccessful attempt to consolidate above $100 per barrel. The price of the popular Brent grade today dropped to $97.09 per barrel and at the time of writing is trading in the range of $97.14-97.43 per barrel.

On crypto exchanges in recent days, strong fluctuations in prices for major cryptocurrencies have been observed, with no clear trend. Thus, bitcoin (BTC) on the popular crypto exchange Binance today rose to $84,368 per coin, and ethereum (ETH) - to $2,735 per coin. Currently, bitcoin is being sold at $84,040-84,090 per coin, and ethereum - at $2,708-2,720 per coin.
