Ukrposhta added payment of parcels in the app and made redirect free for October

In "Ukrposhta 2.0" app there appeared the possibility to pay for parcels, cash on delivery, and customs payments online. In addition, during the whole of October, the company will allow forwarding of shipments for free, including those that have already arrived at the post office.

The general director of Ukrposhta, Igor Smilyanskyi, announced the new app features.

According to him, customers can now pay for a parcel directly in the app to reduce service time at the post office. On the Ukrposhta website, it is also noted that the app supports cashless online payment for postal items.

Forwarding in October will be free

Another innovation concerns forwarding. Ukrposhta announced that during October, this service can be processed for free through the app.

It will be possible to forward not only a shipment that is still in transit but also a parcel that has already arrived at the post office if it is inconvenient for the recipient to pick it up there.

The company explains the decision, in particular, by difficulties with visiting certain post offices during air raid alerts. You can manage delivery directly from your smartphone. On the parcel tracking page, Ukrposhta indicates that forwarding can be arranged to another post office, parcel locker, or courier delivery.

What else is available in "Ukrposhta 2.0"

In the app, you can also process parcels and letters, change the recipient, authorize another person to receive the shipment, extend the storage period, and pay for it.

The free storage period remains unchanged: seven days for shipments in cities and 14 days in villages.

The next stage of service development, according to the company, is delivery of shipments to parcel lockers and the possibility of paying for parcels directly when receiving them from a parcel locker.
