"Ukrzaliznytsia" reported significant train delays after the attack on Kyiv
After the massive Russian attack on Kyiv, "Ukrzaliznytsia" managed to keep passenger trains running through the capital. At the same time, dozens of services on September 30 are running with delays, and the largest deviation from the schedule exceeds 13 hours.
The company reported the situation on Telegram. According to the delay tracking service as of 14:36, trains from central Ukraine, Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions were the furthest behind schedule.
The biggest delays were recorded for the following services:
- №31/32 Zaporizhzhia - Przemyśl - 13 hours 25 minutes;
- №3/4 Dnipro - Uzhhorod - 13 hours 25 minutes;
- №207/208 Kharkiv - Odesa - 11 hours 43 minutes;
- №37/38 Kyiv - Zaporizhzhia - 11 hours 16 minutes;
- №121/122 Kyiv - Mykolaiv - 10 hours 49 minutes;
- №85/86 Lviv - Dnipro - 10 hours 32 minutes.
Several more services were 6-10 hours behind schedule. In particular, trains between Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Odesa and western border directions were delayed.
International services are also running late. The Kyiv - Budapest train was 8 hours behind schedule, Kyiv - Warsaw - more than 3 hours, and Kyiv - Przemyśl - almost 2 hours 40 minutes.
"Ukrzaliznytsia" warns that delay data is calculated automatically and may change during the day.
Kyiv stations undamaged
During the attack, Kyiv Central Station and Darnytsia Station continued to operate. Due to the increased air threat level, boarding and alighting of passengers was conducted through underground passages.
According to the company, both capital stations sustained no damage as a result of the attack.
Kyiv City Express trains continue to run on the full loop, but are delayed by approximately 10-30 minutes. After the air alert was lifted, the railway gradually returned to normal operations.
"Ukrzaliznytsia" also reminded that passengers who miss their train due to an air alert will be allowed to use the same ticket to travel on another train.
