Ukraine's IT services exports fell in August but remained above last year's level
Exports of computer services from Ukraine in August 2026 amounted to $554 million. Compared with July, the sector's foreign currency revenue dropped by $13 million, or 2.3%. This is according to data from the National Bank of Ukraine.
At the same time, the year-on-year figure stayed higher: in August 2025, computer services exports were $540 million. Thus, over the year it grew by $14 million, or about 2.6%.
The largest market for Ukraine's IT industry remains the United States. In August, computer services worth $211 million were exported to the US – about 38% of the sector's total revenue.
Other top partners of Ukraine were Malta at $50 million, Cyprus at $46 million, the United Kingdom at $45 million, and Switzerland at $18 million. The top ten also included Israel, Estonia, Germany, Poland, and the United Arab Emirates.
Total services exports from Ukraine in August were $1.367 billion, a decrease of $90 million, or 6.2%, compared with July. Computer services accounted for about 40.5% of the country's entire services exports.
By comparison, for the whole of 2025 Ukraine exported computer services worth approximately $6.66 billion. That was $210 million, or 3.3%, more than in 2024, and marked the first annual increase after nearly two years of decline.
Thus, the August drop is so far only on a monthly basis: IT services exports decreased compared with July but remain higher than in the same month last year.
