Ukraine received 50 million euros from the Council of Europe Development Bank and Italy as compensation for housing
Ukraine received 50 million euros under the project of the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) "HOME: Compensation for destroyed housing", the attracted funds will be used to finance housing certificates under the state program "eRecovery", according to Європейська правда.
This was reported by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, writes "European Pravda".
25 million euros was provided by the Council of Europe Development Bank and 25 million euros – with the financial support of the government of the Italian Republic.
The framework agreement on the second additional financing of the HOME project was signed on June 26, 2024 during the Ukraine Recovery Conference URC-2024 in Gdansk.
The total volume of the new financing package is 100 million euros, half of which – 50 million euros – is provided by the government of Italy through the CEB mechanism.
Previously, Ukraine had already attracted 200 million euros within the framework of the previous stages of the HOME project. These funds financed more than 6,000 housing certificates for citizens who lost their homes as a result of the war.
